That sounds so much better for almost everyone involved:

1st: While Tesla deserves some skepticism as long as the CEO is a Twitter troll instead of an adult, in this particular case they’re not doing anything terribly wild. The utility industry is interested in batteries to replace “peaker” plants, which are powered by natural gas and only fire up in times of high demand,

“If we don’t control the buying experience, how are we anything but a delivery and service center?”

2nd Gear: “I am not sure a website emotionally engages people like humans do.”

Better idea? Dump Chrysler, re-badge them all as Plymouths (saving money on re-using the in-stock little P’s and O’s)?

His point is to “spin” this into convincing you that this is just some massive cash grab meant to harm one of our precious corporations.

my guess is there will be a net zero change in sales if they change it or not. I’d say don’t change it. Why give up 40 years of very valuable bran equity for a few week’s good pr. 

I highly doubt that the original Cherokee name was chosen without consulting with the Cherokee people.

Always entertaining to watch a company desperately kick an issue down the road while they’re accountants and marketers try to figure out whether they’ll make more money, or less, by addressing it meaningfully.
