It seems like all the luxury makers did a similar stupid alphabet shuffle and it confused everybody.

I disagree. Before de Nysschen came in and unilaterally determined that the brand only needed a new naming nomenclature rather than investment in new vehicles, Infiniti was essentially a Japanese BMW to Lexus’ Japanese MB. The original G35 was rated by more than car rag at the time as the best alternative to the

You’re just now disappointed in Infiniti? I thought disappointment has been their brand image for the last 15 years or so.

As someone who sold Infinitis for quite a while, we all kinda knew this car was never going to happen. Infiniti couldn’t even be bothered to update its best selling SUVs, there was no chance they were going to come out with a high performance version of the slow selling coupe.

Yep, it’s a lost brand.  They have no direction or vision.

Not at all surprising that they’ve scaled back their engineering resources as they recover from the mismanagement by Carlos Goon.

The Q series coupe is a gorgeous car, with the most strange interior options. It feels like Mercury near the end of their life, just trundling along until a boss decides to kill it. It could have real potential, but it feels like Nissan can’t kill it or they “lose the battle” with it’s competitors.

Infiniti is the car brand you think “oh yes, the Versa, thats a good car, i just make too much money to buy one of those!”

The connections it had with Red Bull and then Renault never made sense.”

Did we honestly expect Nissan to have the balls to build this? They’re too busy reverting the brand back to Nissan+

The Fiat Rocket Racoon

Technically, all pandas are owned by China.

This is worse. I find it esp. wrong because you can only get the car in monotone and they’re making a deal about the upgraded front calipers with the unique color. If you’re making the brakes visually pop, dont cheap out when it costs $80k+.

The new defender is getting rave reviews and is heaps better than the old one. Almost everyone disagrees with you.

Almost everyone disagrees with you. Ever driven an old one? Not very good at all, but looked cool. New one is so much better in every single metric.

JLR makes more “want” rather than “need” vehicles anyways, so might as well dip two feet into that pond.

Part of the reveal mentions that there’s an NX450h Plus variant which is a plug-in.

Seems like an after thought

Tadge (chief engineer) has explained why they had to put in a strip of buttons before. The sight line for the C8 is much lower as the engine moved out back, so in order to make the dash super low so you can see over the hood, they had to put in the strip of buttons on the side, as they couldn’t stack the buttons below

Which is why I asked!
