Nobody has mentioned "Midlife Crustacean" yet, where SpongeBob and Patrick take Mr. Krabs out for a night on the town and they end up going on a panty raid …in Mr. Krabs' mother's bedroom ("frilly things").

Actually, I thought the Newhart pilot was one of the funniest episodes in the entire series (a Daughters of the Revolution group finds out the inn was actually used as a brothel). And, yes, much of Season 1 was bland otherwise. And, absolutely, Julia Duffy was a great addition.

Barney Miller also improved vastly after Gregory Sierra (as Chano) departed THAT series.

No one has mentioned the episode where Louie gets back in a cab for the first time in a long time and ends up running over the old lady—a scam artist who, for the first time, failed to dodge the car in her scammery.
