Well if those are the only movies you've seen I don't blame you for thinking this year has sucked. It totally hasn't, though. Moonlight, Manchester by the Sea, The Handmaiden, Everybody Wants Some, Nocturnal Animals, Arrival, The Neon Demon, and Toni Erdman were all great. And that's just off the top of my head.
