“Having class” or being “classy” has nothing to do with having money. I know poor people with class, I know rich people without it. That is, if we’re talking about general behavior and demeanor, not the underhanded insult people use when someone is doing or saying something they don’t like.

It is going to be a longer than usual election cycle. I’ve already gotten into arguments about it. Oh, well.

I had no way of knowing that you made a typo. I didn’t correct your typo, I clarified an incorrect statement. I’m not being confrontational in the least, but your assumption of my tone is not suprising. Your tone is unneccessarily snippy, but again, not suprising.

No, I didn’t “clearly know what you meant,” thus my comment. I still don’t know what you meant.

Poverty, housing and education are not products of race. Systematic racism, yes. But not race. Hopefully your students are also learning about systematic racism and the affect corrupt governing and policing has on communities, specifically minority communities.

Maybe it didn’t happen for you, but there are plenty of people that had teachers from different backgrounds, and subsequently, different experiences with those teachers. The syllabus is not the only thing that affects the classroom environment.

That the problem isn't just racism practiced as personal character defect, but institutions that prioritize the concerns of white people and systematically exploit non-white people for the

All those starring the comments are not trolls. Those are regular commenters that agree.

I actually think modern day feminism is more racist than it's previous iterations, but that's a conversation for another day.

I scrolled through these horrible comments only to post the same thing. Some things never change.

When In Da Club first came out, Patti LaBelle had a birthday party and the guests wanted to sing Happy Birthday to her, but she refused to let them and just wanted the DJ to keep playing the beginning of In Da Club. "...go shawty, it's ya birthday..."

I had no idea racist, misogynist, disgusting pricks kept burn books.

If not, it would mean that there is a shared hallucination going on. How on earth do you intrepret that as resisting? A cop should be someone trained to accurately assess a situation and act accordingly. Seeing danger where there is none is not the type of policing we need.
