They took a page right out of Ford’s book and made the model names so confusing and misleading. How many people accidentally bought a Ford Bronco Sport thinking it was Ford Bronco? How many people will buy a Toyota Yaris GR after hearing how awesome the Toyota GR Yaris is?

I had the same thought. Spent a couple minutes* on google and yeah, this particular roadblock is over a mile away from the bridge with only a few places accessible from the road shown without alternate routes. And definitely no places I’d want to go to. A couple rough looking chemical plants, a company that

The only thing I can think of is that perhaps, just perhaps, there was a turn off or another road before the bridge proper and people needed NOT to get across the bridge but to another location near the river.

I have driven past several “road closed” signs in order to get to my house which is just past the barricade.

Get a grip. BMW turn signal engineers manage to keep it together. Be more like them.

This sort of thing just adds further proof that half the population is below average in intelligence.

Turbulence and lightning, very very frightening! GALILEO

i always find it interesting how you americans call these “derailments”. where i’m from something that involves cranes and produces scrap metal is far beyond a simple derailment and would be called a major accident

Yup, this wasn’t a process problem most likely, it was a failure to follow process problem. Some liftee isn’t coming back to work.

Given that his body was traveling at about 155, had he rear ended a passenger car, his dead body would have likely killed all the occupants as a 150 to 200 pound human corpse missile...

Using “Turbo” for a model’s name when the car is electric...so insipid.

It’s always more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow”

Beautiful car. WAY too much for the age. Stop it, people.

I can’t comment on the bakery’s loss or insurance. I do know that if someone had said to me “you’ve got insurance, you’ll be okay” at the time of my colossal burglary without knowing the dire straits I was in, I’d have lost my shit.

Point being, it’s odd to pivot to the notion that the bakery shop will be okay when you
