Leaking license plates is a nothing burger. Our privacy is long gone. As of 2019, private company DRN claimed to have more than 9 billion license plate scans. They sell the data to whoever wants it, basically. Are you a “PI” looking for someone? DRN will show you where they’ve been and where. No leak needed.

They must stop blacking out windows on press photos. Specifically in a way that is illegal in most places. They can’t even disclaimer “shown with optional equipment”, more like “shown with illegal tint”. I know, showing a driver is really difficult (Asian? Black? White? Female? Male?).
