I'll copy+paste my review

I've been keeping busy with the Sydney Film Festival and the end of my term. Here's all the new releases I saw
-CALL ME BY YOUR NAME: 10/10, fantastic, beautiful, gay
-OKJA: 9/10, absolutely bonkers fun but incredibly distressing
-THOSE WHO MAKE REVOLUTION HALFWAY ONLY DIG THEIR OWN GRAVES: 9/10, impossible to describe,

im pretty sure some writers are native american

I read the first draft of the script and it was abysmal. No structure/pacing, just a random series of events with added racism and misogyny. Luke Flynnis a producer so I assume it didn't need much oversight though.

Just saw this, and it's really not that gory. The experience is shocking just because its so evocative, you feel overwhelmed and get immersed in those primal teenage emotions. Pretty fantastic, although a lot of the symbolism is very on the nose

yeah, "fuck off" for mildly bemoaning a film he liked flopped

When I was little we went on holiday, and I watched this on VHS about 6 times in a row. I can't remember for the lfie of me what it's about.

how can you hate something so pure and full of love?

does it count for LOTR (or basically all fantasy)

For my money Romeo + Juliet is a masterwork, but everything after and including Australia (god i hate that film) I've found mediocre. I'm not sure his massive style is fitted to TV, which the review seems to pick up on.

I can understand not liking Baz (I don't in particular) but he's certainly not a bad director, just one with a particular unique vision and style.

SCREENWRITERS MASSACRE: HAS THE ZODIAC KILLER RETURNED?

Helena Bonham Carter was the weak point for me, she tried something different but her voice couldn't carry it. I didn't mind Depp, he doesn't have the traditional rich baritone but it worked for the sort of subtle dread Burton was building up. Alan Rickman stands as perfect casting in my mind though, one of the best

Sweeney Todd wasn't the best adaptation of its source material, but it was just a pretty great movie on its own with a really unique feel. I would never listen to the film soundtrack, but its fun to watch.

This game is fantastic with friends and I agree it feels like you're actually in a heist movie, its extremely tense especially considering how much you rely on others.

Carrie Fisher is an awesome human being.
