Weirdly enough, I started liking Neapolitan Ice Cream as I got older. Neapolitan Ice Cream is always “bad” ice cream (you’re never going to get premium Neapolitan, as they would just make spumoni instead) and bad chocolate ice cream is slightly improved by bad strawberry ice cream.

It’s absolutely the texture. I think the fact that it was also less dark than Hershey’s Syrup also bumped up that sugar rush you’d feel.

I found the KFC Chicken Sandwich to be fairly bland. It needed more of the 11 Herbs and Spices - it’s based on the Extra Crispy, which is far less aggressively seasoned than the regular chicken.

Not everyone who is vegetarian / vegan is militant about it (although, at times it sure seems that way).

I embraced the One Gross Pan philosophy a few years ago. I had two end of life sheet pans - one that I repurposed as a high temp roasting pan and the other as a drippings pan under my smoker. Letting go of the need to get them shiny again is freeing. I do have two newer, less grimy sheet pans that are used for cookies…

The “Mexican Coke tastes better” thing seems to be largely psychological. Kenji Lopez-Alt did a series of blind taste tests to try to tease out what people really preferred - sugar vs HFCS, glass vs cans vs cups, formulations. He put Mexican Coke in cans, American Coke in bottles, both in cups, all double blinded.

I dunno - Diet Coke is drunk by a lot of men. Hell, even that most manly of manly men, Donald Trump, is a big Diet Coke drinker.
