I agree it has nothing to say about talent level or potential. I think he has regressed as he has become more popular, but when you score the top selling album you’re a star. Especially with what has become a very loose definition of “star” nowadays.

That’s accurate. Flamers was fire straight through then he tried to do commercial stuff in 2 and 3 to get big. He got big and would drop 2 nice songs per album/mixtape which were on Flamers quality.
