The 2017 wind tunnel model is probably not of interest to the current teams and will end up as an obscure piece of memorabilia. But the rolling chassis, if given a proper Ferrari/Mercedes drivetrain, could be quite an awesome bit of kit and would be the most advanced vehicle in BOSS GP, where old F1 and Indycars go to

VW has been working on that particular trolling strategy for what, a decade? Give Trump some time to catch up. Judging by his first 50 days in office, he sure is trying!

Well, one could argue that the F12/812 Superfast only has one true competitor in its price range, and that’d be the Aventador, which is a mid-engine car. Also, if you look back at the lineage of the F12, it’s part of the model line that went from mid engine (512BB, Testarossa) to front-mid engine with the 550

Yep, CLE/CLS (German media claims it’ll keep the CLS name) as a regular Mercedes and the AMG car as a proper luxury offering, maybe as the lean and sporty alternative to the S-Class Coupe.

CLS will get a direct E-class based replacement, but the CLS Shooting Break is axed in favor of the AMG GT Four-door thing.

The only one I have a picture of would be the black Ferrari 250 Lusso that I saw on some B-roads last summer.

I have seen quite a few driving around, and it looks stunning in dark colors. Especially from the rear 3/4 view.

Yes! I’d argue it’s peak Ferrari design, and it still is a proper exotic with a 620hp V12. Too bad they made so few manuals and that the few manual ones for sale are so prohibitively expensive.

Heck, even the minuscule European muscle car market is now being dominated by Ford and their Mustangs, and the Corvette still suffers from the image of being a pimp’s favorite vehicle of choice. No pushing to be observed.

This vaguely, sorta makes sense, as GM’s been pushing Chevrolet more in Europe

Now playing

I enjoyed watching James May reassemble old appliances while mumbling about mechanics and history more than the Grand Tour. I still watched the GT, but would instantly forget what they were doing - apart from the awkward, forced jokes they’d make (Kissing to Petting to Fucking in an SUV? Jesus Christ, how witty).

You know, it’s not a bad logo design per se, but it really can’t compare with the current one they use.

Update: Newspaper Welt claims that the driver/hijacker of the truck is a Pakistani refugee who entered Germany in February 2016.

Their commitment to the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters series remains unchanged, although no decision has been made on their participation in World Rallycross yet.

Good. I was a bit disappointed that the race wasn’t that exciting, but in terms of glamour and off-track activities Austin has become a yearly highlight. Now they need to move the race date a bit further away from Mexiko.

The steering wheel screams Audi.

I mainly chose that picture because it shows the new displays and steering wheels that the S-Class will get this year when its facelift arrives. Not the color I’d take on my Mercedes though.

Meanwhile, over at Mercedes:

That’s actually rather promising. LeBlanc seems like a proper car guy, brings some fame with him and is probably more experienced than Evans in terms of presenting in front of a camera. Good for him.
