There’s a difference between not winning with an extraordinary project and being beaten to shit by smaller category cars - and that’s the prospect they are facing ahead of the race. If their only goal was retweets - mission accomplished.

A worksteam has to start with a hybrid system. So you’re right, Nissan chose 2MJ because it’s the smallest category available. Their current system isn’t working properly, and they are likely to run Le Mans without it powering the wheels.
