It can be a really classic example of how to appear to be Doing Something about an issue without really, often, doing much of anything.

I presented at the American Association of Colleges and Universities conference this past week. My presentation was about the corporatism that has totally taken over American higher education — the incredibly vast and hugely expensive administrative architecture that now dominates our campuses. That general story is

Gonna be a bummer to watch the conversation about this game become about everything but the actual game. (And I freely concede that Blow has directly contributed to that.)

Amazon Fire does lots of different content — if you’re willing to do a tiny amount of work to sideload apps.

Does Tyronn Lue have the ability to teach Kevin Love how to switch defensively in his 8th professional season of basketball?

The song sucks, though.

It’s so frustrating to be playing and be hanging far above my target, having him moving around as normal, and then all of a sudden see that he’s discovered me and is fleeing the scene. For no reason that I can deduce.

The game has so much personality, the graphics are gorgeous, the voice acting is stellar. Characters like Marx and Dickens are others are worked into the game in a funny and effective way. I have a beastly new PC, so take that under account, but I’m surprised so many people have complained about the graphics. The graphics are fine, in my opinion. Not photorealistic in the way of a Far Cry 4, true, but I don’t really need photorealistic from a Fallout game.

you have at worst a 50% shot of winning

I mean, almost all (though not 100%) of PC games will eventually come down to $10 or less in sales, these days. That’s got to be a factor.

Surprised that so many people are surprised. I’ve always thought that the smart play was to let the diehards and early adopters shell out for this first wave of tech and then for people to get on board in, say, 2021 or so. I know it sucks to wait but the tech will be much cheaper, much better, and have much more
