Apparently the good Samaritan is from Sweden as an exchange student. Which explains a few things.
I dunno, those medical professionals could have been women, so they didn’t have the promise that he did. Promising 20-year old knows best!
Judging by the quick Google search I did, and the LinkedIn info that came up for both Peter Jonsson and his friend, their futures do look very promising. Smart and decent human beings.
Also, like isn’t that exactly what rape activists and victims are supposed to do? Take things to the police so that the rapist can have his “due process?” Once they do that, the prosecutor is going to do whatever he/she can to get that conviction, they care about winning more than anything else.
She also remained unconscious for 3 hours at the hospital. I don’t know about you, but I am going to take the word of trained medical professionals over some 20 year old college kid as to whether someone was unconscious.
My evidence professor in law school said that essentially, all evidence is circumstantial if you really think about it.
Right?! Where’s the piece about this guy? That’s who I’d want to read about.
Turner said he recalled the man asking, “Do you think this is OK?”
It came out of nowhere! Nowhere being that time he raped someone.
And he would have gotten away with it too, if it weren’t for you meddling Stanford female activists! ::shakesfist::
Peter Jonnson does. Apparently enough to chase down and subdue a “promising” athlete. Somebody make him head of the Dept of Justice or something
I love the phrase, “Suddenly he was accused of rape.” Like he’s just wandering along the campus footpaths, on a bright and sunshiny day in a crowd of his fellow students, when all of a sudden—
I am so sick of university athletic programs overlooking the signs that someone is a terrible person just because they’re good at sports. Given that I most definitely know of Turner, and am friends with people who swam with him, I am so, so, so glad he’s been found guilty.
“Suddenly accused of rape.”
It’s very telling when you try to use the defenses that people use in rape/sexual assault cases to other types of crime and how fucking unbelievable it would be; yet, when it involves someone being sexually violated, “let’s not jump to conclusions.”
“Suddenly, someone caught him in the act of raping an unconscious woman.”
Also, why does every case of rape have to clear cut? You know how many people go down for murder on circumstantial evidence?
It’s almost like people don’t give a shit about rape victims
“The prosecutor was playing to the demands of Stanford female activists.”HA!! HAHAHA! Like THAT’S ever happened. Right.
