Wasn't your problem that people can't play demos instantly? Streaming tech would make that not an issue. Unless their Internet wasn't up to the challenge, in which case this whole digital future is going to suck pretty hard for them anyway.

Anyway, like I said. MS are the ones you should blame, not the people who

Sony are working on tech that allows you to start playing a game as you download it. MS are doing the same I believe. No reason your mates can't try that demo.

Or even better, now they could rent the whole game for a weekend and decide for themselves if they wanted. Or you could just lend them your disc! Amazing right?

I didn't laugh, because the satire didn't come from a place of truth. The motivations the author is ascribing to MS for their DRM didn't exist. Hell, it seemed even Microsoft didn't know why the DRM existed for disc games.

Give Enterprise another shot Mike. You might be pleasantly surprised, now that a little time has passed. The first two seasons still have a lot of mediocre drek, but not much that's out-and-out awful and there's a couple of real gems in there. Seasons three and four can hold their heads high with the best of Trek, IMO.
