??? Wut

V6 makes more sense from an aero and chassis point of view. Those cool arches for air flow would not be practical with a 90* v8, vs a 60* v6

Not to mention its friggin light at around 200lbs minus exhaust manifold and alternator

The duratec/ MZR engine family is one of my favourites. They take a 2.3 l crank, a 2.5 L block, bore it out so that it make 2.5 L again, slap on a cammed cosworth head, new rods/ other supporting bits, and it wilL make 300+ hp reliably, all day every day

They use .02 gram plastic bbs :/

Holy shit your back. Did you get bored trolling on YouTube?

Thought it might be with the cold war era map on the console. I love me some toggle switches

What car is that! I love the spartan, almost military cockpit

That is a pretty nasty fast slide actually, especially if your not expecting one. The driver was an idiot, no doubt about that, but I don’t think your quite grasping the event as a whole. It looked to me like he used way to much throttle, before the clutch grabbed, so when it did grab, it broke traction. The road

It’s hard to explain unless you’ve spent time driving at the limit in varied conditions. I’m not saying the driver isn’t an idiot, but when you have nice hot tires, on warm pavement, the vehicle feels stable at the limit, and confidence inspiring. Cold tires on cold pavement, have a much more unforgiving slide

I'm aware, just it's one of those things that is much more apprent in one example vs the other. Street tires are still sketchy as you noted, when they are on cold pavement.

Go kart tires on 32* pavement are like driving on ice. Temp makes a huge difference in stability under load.

Its more off a feel through the ass, than a visual clue that your about to spin. Its why I have such a hard time with driving sims, verses actually driving karts at the limit.

Not so much on the road, but it has four wheels and looks angry. Here it is in its natural habitat

I always thought ours looked like a scared small dog. Could be that it’s a its a work truck driven by people under the age of 28 :p

Lol. I’m heading down to bowmanville this week probably to get my injectors done at the diesel performance shop at the edge of town. We're pretty much neighbours!

Sounds exactly like my small town in Ontario. You don’t happen to live in a place that starts with PORT, and ends with PERRY?

Yep, I keep that in mind while driving it. I’ve crashed the gokarts enough to get a good sense of the forces involved. The most Ive pushed it is about 6/10ths. It be not be fun explaining to the boss why the gator is upside down :p

I’m not looking forwards to giving it back to the dealership when our garbage gets back lol. I giggle the whole time I’m driving it. 5” speed bump, let’s see what happens when we flat foot it! Drive it into a whole bunch of mud (my coworker did so the other day) put it in 4x4 and punch it! I have way to much fun at

We have a loaner HPX right now at work. IRS, 21 hp, rear engined, and RWD. more body roll than any kart (I’ve raced karts btw), but handles dynamically like an under steer prone kart. Trailing throttle on the turn in, and a slight press on the gas at apex will have this thing corner impressively well on gravel.
