I loved this game so much more then other recent Mario games. My only complaint is that it required a certain number of stars to get to the next area. I know SM64 had this mechanic, but I guess I don't remember being "stuck", but currently I am stuck at the last (last, last) castle but I'm about 10 stars short,…
It was pretty damn good. Top notch production quality, funny commentary, and about as casual as you can get while describing several frustrating aspects of the game that should have been patched months ago! :)
I would just like to say that I loved everything about this video. A+ job, guys.
Yeah I love their vibe! Very chill.
Impressive stuff. I particularly enjoy their cool-headed and fun nature about discussing all of these really neat ideas. I'd take these guys up on these features in a heartbeat. Will tweet this to Bungie just because.
the idea behind the knife is you shoot the Zombie until it falls down, then quickly switch to the knife and stab him while he's down, when he get's up switch back to your gun and continue shooting, but when you shoot make sure you space out your shots so you don't waste ammo.
One of the coolest parts about REmake was that almost every zombie looked different. This article reminded me that one ONE zombie in the entire game has a bald spot and it's in the hallway in the gif above. Don't get me wrong, there are multiple zombies with dirtied white oxfords in the mansion, but there was a nice…
One more tip I discovered years ago may help people who want to conserve ammo.
When I played the remake on the Gamecube, I was unaware of the crimson heads (I had beaten the original on PSone oh so many years before), and holy crap did that completely change the dynamic of the game for me. So terrifying hearing them screech and seeing them run at you.
I thought the last level of Shadows of the Empire was fun. And that was not well received...
One of my top 10 games of last generation. This is a fantastic game with amazing mechanics, deep and rewarding challenge for those who play at advanced difficulty, and beautiful art direction for an action shooter. I don't know if Mikami will ever top it (and I'm a fan of his Resident Evil games).
I know he's moved on…
Yeah, it would be great fit for PC. :)
Not enough people appreciate the awesomeness that is Vanquish. My only grip with the game was that it was to short. I keep hoping it will get a sequel one day, especially considering how it ended. A sequel to this game makes more since than a sequel to Bayonetta plot wise (not that i didn't like Bayo 2).
I would love to see Vanquish on PC.
I must go, my hovel needs me.
Yep, 14-years-old. I somehow convinced my parents to let me travel from Chicago to Atlanta for E3 1998, where Metal Gear Solid debuted, and coerced E3's organizers to let me walk around. My dad was with me the whole time, too. He even sat in on my first appointments with companies, in which surprised but gracious PR…
Great song choices. When You Were Young was my favorite. Naive by The Kooks, That's What You Get by Paramore, and Float On by Modest Mouse.
Snake, however, totally knows his shit. I could learn a thing or two from this guy.
