I am so sorry that you went through that. I hope that your daughter is healthy and happy and that you are able to make up for that lost bonding time.

Maybe it will be a benefit to me that I will be legally "single" while job searching. The employer can just assume that I am a lonely spinster who will not produce offspring.

As a female about to finish graduate school and in full blown job search mode this is genuinely terrifying.
