No, I kind of realized that raising a black child in today’s society wasn’t going to be easy, and that parenting isn’t as easy as they make it out to be on TV. Six years into parenting my black child doesn’t make me unsympathetic or Father of the Year, but it does make me roll my eyes a bit.
