I would argue that Kuhn's work on paradigms shows that academic discussion and rationality in video games is a fairly young form. The entire sphere is undergoing a paradigm shift. What we're seeing is evolution, not destruction.

So basically they're going to be doing what they're supposed to be doing.

Hopefully some kid will play with it and want to become a game developer.

I really hope Jack of Blades' original voice returns, undistorted... I loved how he used to sound, then they pulled a George Lucas and changed it to how they "intended" him to sound, or something.
