This might be the craziest idea yet and I’m amazed it wasn’t Elon Musk or Tesla that came up with it. Where is Torch to write on this topic when you need him.

Don’t forget the RM portion of the name.
It’s amazing that with all of you leaving there are still writers left at Jalopnik. The thing that the new editor in chief, or whatever his/her title will be, has to realize that the interaction of the comments with the writers is what makes the site great.
With the departure of DT and the Torch, you are now my favorite writer on Jalopnik. I don’t know how many times I broke out in a smile just reading today’s NP/ND post. Thanks!
This Tesla Cybertruck could just be the end of style as we know it. I can’t think of an uglier design proposal anywhere nor anytime.
The neat thing about pop-up headlights is that they could stay clean in the daytime (winter sludge) so that you could actually see with them at night-time. I want the return of headlight washers a la Saab and Volvo of the 1980's.
Once again, these are cool as cucumbers!
These were the coolest looking lights on a cheapish car in the 1980's.
They are probably preparing the way for the inevitable key subscription service coming up. It just isn’t working quite the way they wanted with the system disabling the car before the subscription could be offered. LOL.
Love this video! Very entertaining!
I’m glad that I’m with the majority on this. It’s simply too much money for a worn out 15 year old car. No Dice!
I’m totally with the Sonata hybrid recommendation. I personally got a Fusion plug-in hybrid and it is so much more comfortable than a newer compact.
I suggest you take your own advice.
When you consider what people charge for 12 year old Rangers and the like this RX8 is a steal by comparison. Nice Price!
I wanted to Nice Price it but couldn’t in the end. When I look at everything that still needs to be done it is only half-way restored. This means another 10 to 20 grand or else some really great skills. Since I don’t have those skills and don’t have the extra 10 grand, No Dice!
I don’t remember seeing a single Alfa in person on the road ever.
Well-written article, but the price for this one is a total NoGo or No Dice or whatever you want to call it. Can’t believe that anyone would pay these prices for a 17 year old truck with a gazillion miles.
If I’m ever in the car with you while you “clip the apexes” then I will make you watch a bunch of videos of head on crashes so you will stop pulling that stunt. That is something that only belongs on a raceway, and never on a public road.
It was absurd then too, although DED Jr. did get some interesting people to write some interesting articles. Not one of those articles was about the pain of not being able to drive cars.
“The whining must stop.” Move out of NYC if you want to write about cars.
