By the time you have to worry about it being hard to drive ICE’s this Jeep will be long past its best before date.  Don’t worry about that one.

Stop torturing yourself and buy one if you can afford it. Used Wranglers hold their value so there’s no point in buying used. With your fixing skills you don’t even have to worry about their so called reliability being S***, so go ahead.

I voted No Dice with a Caveat.   That the owner sell it for a dollar to someone with the ability and the will to restore it to its former glory.  This deserves a complete restoration.  Without this restoration it isn’t worth the cost of an ad.

My uncle had an early Passat. In my childlike view it was one of the prettiest cars I’d ever seen.

Maybe get a new hat.  Might I suggest a Detroit Redwings hat?  In other words do something you enjoy other than wrenching and engineering.

I’d say the best way to keep all five of these is to buy a 6th vehicle, which would be your daily driver.  I suggest something that is around 5 years old with enough depreciation to be somewhat affordable and yet with enough reliability that you don’t have to do any regular wrenching, other than a regular oil change.

Did they actually offer the last generation Passat in any color other than grey?  I can’t remember seeing any other Passats.

I couldn’t read the yellow name at first until doing some major squinting.  I thought it said “breakdown yellow,” and I thought that is the bravest name for a color I’ve ever heard.

This sounds a lot like a story that is making the news in Canada this week. A group was promising people in India a way to get into the US. They flew people on a visitor’s visa to Winnipeg, Manitoba and then for an extra $1000.00 per person (or so in Indian funds) they would transport them to the US border in a van.

That picture of the Chevette is a picture of a car that was never sold in North America.  This one has a trunk (notchback) while all the ones that were sold in North America were hatchbacks (3 or 5 door).  This notchback version was probably sold in South America or elsewhere.  Also I believe the original Kadet which

All cars are worth collecting. In my view the more common a car was on the streets the more important that someone collects it. It is fine to collect all the Z06 versions of Corvettes and all the Countaches, et al, but such a collection won’t reflect the world in which we used to live. But I do get it. If you’re going

That all depends on how far the freefall goes.

What is so interesting about a lot of these “sovereign citizens” is that they also generally support Donald Trump and his right to perpetual presidency.  They are also people who think that enforced vaccinations (for some jobs) is the same as the Holocaust of the 1940's.  The only problem is that there are more of

Brand new I doubt it cost more than 8500.

If you took 10 000 off the price it still be No Dice, but at least it would be something I’d consider.  At this price it had to be brand spanking new to be anywhere near NP.

Is this supposed to be that friendly face?

Was it built in the factory that used to build DAF cars?

Besides the old logo looked too much like Ford’s or Subaru’s.

If you’re going to use it strictly for commuting the 167 hp version is plenty powerful and has plenty range.  If you want an enthusiasts version you should get at least 300 hp.

I know someone who’s going “to light up some ambassadors just before midnight.”  One of the funniest movies ever.
