I’d say that the HALO car should probably be some form of SUV, probably electric drive.

I test drove several on the way to purchasing a sedan like you’d have me do. If I could have gotten a new Escape for the same price as my 19 Fusion (with only 1500 km’s on it.) I would have gotten it. As it is my Fusion is the Titanium Energi plug-in hybrid, while I would have bought the regular hybrid in the Escape.

I rented one in Australia the last time I was there and it had enough room to sit in there for myself and other adults with us.  You must be thinking of the original Sportage which was indeed much smaller.

Hope that wasn’t an automatic as those early automatic Tercels could barely get to highway speeds (in about 35 seconds) and would rev at the redline to maintain that speed. The early 80's Tercels that our Toyota dealer offered as courtesy vehicles in the 1990's were the worst cars I’ve ever driven and I’ve driven a

I only Nice Priced it because I never rode in one when they were new and they looked pretty good from the outside. Secondly these lasted far longer than the 1980 Citation which was sold in the same showroom in the same segment at about ten times the volume of the Monza.  I suspect that there are now more Monzas left

You haven’t heard of 22's?

He was still far superior than the Orangutan that keeps lying about an election that was “stolen” from him.

First Gear: “All of this is funny in that car companies are still making money hand over fist prioritizing high-profit-margin vehicles and leaving everything else on the to-do-list.”  You know who else is making money hand over fist during this car shortage?  Dealers are making money hand over fist as they’re hanging

I’d buy the base model except you can’t get cruise control on the base model.  Cruise control is my number one necessity in a vehicle today.  It tops the need for fancy seats, and yes even air conditioning.  Yet as I’ve bought vehicles over the years, my base necessities have certainly gone up.

My 03 Focus with the 2 l ZETEC engine and 5 speed has been the second cheapest car I’ve ever owned including maintenance. This is comparing it to a 91 Tercel, 81 Mazda 626 (the lemon in the bunch), 80 Mercury Zephyr, and 13 Escape.  The only one cheaper was the 74 Pontiac Ventura (ie Chevy Nova) that only required

Then I hope that you and others like you end up buying lots of new Sparks/Mirages/Versas, etc.

It’s more expensive, with less power, a worse ride and a worse interior somehow.” There you go again making things up. The Escape has a pretty decent ride which I’m sure is as good as the ride in a Maverick. It has the same engine/transmission combos as the Maverick and I’m sure it doesn’t weigh more than the

Yet that median household increase didn’t go to everyone equally.  There are now far more people who are priced out of the new car market than there were in 1990.

Truly awful” Escape?  Have you actually driven or owned one?  They are great cars for the segment and they don’t look like they can do what they can’t do like Toyota’s RAV-4.  If I had to choose between the Escape and Maverick, I might want the Maverick, but I’d probably choose the Escape because it fits in my

Except sedans are not more spacious than crossovers like the Sportage. The Sportage has infinitely more space than the Forte on which it used to be based. It has better headroom than the Optima/K5 and is certainly a lot easier to enter and exit. I had an Escape and now have a Fusion.  The Fusion doesn’t have enough

Just wondering:  When is Changli going to recall all their cars.  Clearly this stalling problem and this fire problem is a safety issue that the NHTSA needs to get on and quickly.  Also, how is possible to import a car that isn’t 25 years old?

Then airlines should redesign their seats and how many fit in the plane to fix that.  It shouldn’t be up to other passengers to forego the designed use of the seat just because airlines didn’t have enough space for the feature to be used.

The Juke can be had with a manual.  I don’t know why Toyota doesn’t offer theirs as a hybrid since it just seems to make sense.  As it is, it offers horrible fuel economy and for what?

I’d say that a roof top tent is an alternative to an RV rather than an alternative to traditional tenting.  My issue would be that I’d have to climb down those steps several times a night for my p-breaks and so I’d rather sleep in a regular tent or in an RV with a bathroom.

Isn’t it Nieman Marcus?  I didn’t even realize that they had actual stores as I was only aware of them through the annual catalogue and the annual car chosen to be sold in said catalogue.
