Yet there are still numerous companies that consider their non-office workers something less than human. Hence while they will spend money on office staff home computers and the like, they won’t spend a penny on non-office staff to work from home.

The military has truckers doesn’t it? Draft the military to help out in an exceptional situation while at the same time solving the systemic issues that have contributed to the situation.
You may be right, but if my workplace had such outright failures (which was the case at my last place) I’d put the blame right where it belongs, at the top.
I have never seen a manual transmissioned car at a North American rental place so I am shocked that someone was able to rent a Fiesta ST in Nebraska.
I hope we’d hear about it even if they were 6 homeless people walking on the side of the road.
And after you fire them, resign from your position for your absolute incompetency in running a police department.
I’m surprised at your level of insight into the intent of the driver. I suspect you’re right that he intended to harass the cyclists but to actually intend to hit cyclists with your truck; that is some level of pathology.
I suspect that the lack of oversight or training is systemic failure, or is that what you meant to say.
I was going to Nice Price it for sure without question until I read the article and saw the pictures and all sorts of red flags were popping up everywhere; No Dice!
I’d love to see a 2 cylinder engine hybrid. I’m sure that it would do the job as effectively as a current 4 cylinder car.
In this he’s a lot like the former President of the USA thinking that rules should only be for commoners and not for “exceptional” people like himself.
You may have forgotten that Ford introduced another hybrid pickup before the Maverick and it is also very good. That hybrid system is focused on power delivery over fuel economy, while this one prioritizes fuel economy. They are both incredibly good hybrids.
Of course if your bedroom is in a slanted upstairs area, the wrong side of the bed is the side that is under the lower end of the slant. Getting up on that side usually leads to a headache of sorts.
I can only imagine what it is like to have a 200 000 dollar budget for a car as my recently purchased home cost less once you convert my measly Canadian 210 000 bucks into American dollars. If I were 6' 6" I wouldn’t be shopping for a sports car as the comfort would be lacking. I suspect that your Tesla Plaid might…
Looks like Rivian is off to a great start, but continues to work at making things better. Thanks for your enthusiastic review.
Yet that one did not lead to a year without summer. Still, it does show the awesome effects of a volcanic eruption.
Although I would suggest some under-stressed engines had enough issues of their own. My old Mercury Zephyr with the 3.3L straight 6 only offered up a mealy 88 hp, but blew a number of head gaskets. I’d rather have an engine that revs freely (such as the 1.5 in my ancient Tercel which offered up a tremendous 82 hp) but…
My sister-in-law has a beef with the Karen use, but yes!
Wait, what? You’re not supposed to do that with shampoo bottles? Learn something new every day, I guess.
This makes sense to me. There is a real shortage of truckers so this is one way to get young people a leg up in this key sector of the economy.
