Good points, and I would bet that MOST of the Sturgis folks ride without lids at all. And I am a motorcyclist.

Yeah, 60 bucks is like hitting the lottery.
Geesh, I agree that it is more about newspaper headlines. Get a bunch of people together, drink heartily and ride motorcycles which have unique handling characteristics and people are likely to get hurt and/or die.
Loud pipes save lives. Works especially well in creek beds.
Total douchbaggery. Riding this way on a public highway is dangerous in the extreme and a good reason we bikers get the name "Organ donors."
Hey, it crashes about LIKE a leaf. The whole front structure is like, GONE.
Bad enough to go through this in your car, but can you imagine being the motorcyclist? If it was a "Harley guy" he will have a real hard time polishing that turd.
Wow, prayers for all involved. Stewart alone knows what his intent was when he gunned the engine. We simply don't know the facts of what happened yet. Perhaps we won't for some time. Tony has to live with what happened and will no doubt have some sleepless nights, no matter his intentions. We can draw conclusions…
Shhh, you are not supposed to look behind the curtain MO.
Necessity can be a mean mutha!
Robert, you raise some valid points. I agree with you that most people don't have the situational awareness to long survive on the streets on a motorcycle. On the other hand nothing wakes a person up like the hard slap of reality. It wakes us up much faster than the most eloquent lecture or classroom.
Robert, you bring up some good points about general attitudes toward we riders. Personally, I think EVERY single driving under distraction conviction, every accident causing texting junkie should be made to pay for, take and then have to ride a bike for six months as their sole transportation. Exceptions for picking…
Hey Robert, not sure where you hail from, I live in Ohio. In Montgomery County the process entails police having to present to the Grand Jury why they want the records and then they get approval for a subpoena. It simply is not a matter of pushing a button, or making a phone call. Perhaps the process is different in…
Well Doug, I understand your passion for privacy, which is largely an illusion today though.
Your Harley puts out 170+ HP? What are you riding man?
Robert, I agree with you that the "Profit motive" is incredible in law enforcement today. I hear you, and I share some of the same concerns regarding police powers and abuses. DUI is a huge moneymaker for courts and justice systems, yet do we decry those laws? This morning a young man was crossing the street in front…
We are all going to die at some time, by something. Yet, imho, not all of us really get to live. Riding makes me feel very alive. I waited until I was older and my kids mostly raised to take up riding. Something I wanted to do all my life.
This is a GREAT idea that I hope will come to pass in American cities. As a motorcyclist who has almost been killed by drivers texting and diddling with their cell phone it is past time for folks to either drive or text, not both.
Thanks for the awesome pics. Appreciate your work at showing us the details that I crave. Cooler than a Can Am for sure!
LOL, peace to you my friend.
