I believe Mercedes is prepping an S class convertible version. However the X6 is curiously like the Nissan Murano in many ways. I posit that it would make a LOT more sense to create an Escalade SWB convertible version. Once again Americans could have a nice luxury convertible barge, and with little investment to…
It may well be close to the final chassis, but there is still time to tweak and refine wall thickness etc. Does not your posted crash test simulation actually confirm that this is indeed MUCH better than a regular motorcycle in that the structure absorbs the crash energy instead of the occupants? If the vehicle…
LOL
What is a "tool lane?"
You do realize this is not a production intent chassis correct? It is at best an armature for the rolling demonstration vehicle. Elio is actually hoping to obtain 5 star safety ratings in actual crash tests. As one who relies on a helmet, leathers and such even this chassis, as it not sits would be a distinct…
On a real motorcycle YOU are the crush section. I know this very well as a rider.
As a guy who rides cycles a lot this is more efficient that most motorcycles due to the aerodynamic efficiency. That it costs less than most motorbikes for sale as well is just icing on the cake.
Which would you rather have a cow fart, or real live transportation? Hopefully my Elio will not smell like a cow fart though.
The mighty don't fall with a mighty thud usually. They get chip, chip, chipped away over time until they are a shadow of who they were and THEN they usually fall. The Japanese did kick Detroit's ass in the late 70s through the 90s because they innovated, built small cars well, and made quality a standard feature on…
Not when being a Cutlass meant something. Hell in 1976 it was THE best selling car in America, period. My Uncle had a 1964 442 that he bought new, it was no "Piece of shit" I assure you. Your comment indicates you have a pretty shallow grasp of automotive history.
None the less an investigation will have to be done to pursue evidence to make charges stick. Otherwise its all heresay. It angers me as well.
I drive an '08 XB with manual transmission myself. I like it, so does my son, and my dog.
I actually have an XB as well. Love it, so does my son and my dog.
The Big Nasty did pop its lid. And it is well in Corvette land!
A modern day "King of Thrones" Joffrey?
As Paul Harvey said is "The Rest of the Story" the civil lawsuits have produced five out of court settlements and one that the victim's family is insisting go to trial. Will this bankrupt the family, giving them the affluectomy they sorely need to present the spread of this horrible disease?
There are lots of tragedies here, starting with those killed and maimed. If we had real investigative journalism though they would investigate this judge and find out if she had taken any pay off, or the promise of one to come.
None other than Bruce Crower developed this idea. http://www.damninteresting.com/the-six-stroke…
