Thats what happens when you try to quickly re-write the reasoning for something because the original was “too comic-booky” for the movie.

Seriously. I had a mad crush on Shuri.

The movie was not as groundbreaking theatrically as I had hoped (NOT discounting the social groundbreaking the blackness of the film DID accomplish!), but my goodness Shuri was the greatest thing ever put on film! I couldn’t look at her without feeling sheer excitement!

I would be fine with literally any excuse to get more Shuri on the big screen. She stole every scene and I adored her.

Good for him, the sooner other people stop this ‘I’m a colour’ nonsense the better. My condolences as well, he sounds like he was a good guy.
