Visual-ish novels with puzzles, you say? Danganronpa, yes, of course, but Virtue’s Last Reward too (can’t wait for Zero Time Dilemma!), Corpse Party: Book of Shadows (the PSP game is on the PS Store) and BloodDrive... Plus pure VNs such as Steins;Gate, with Steins;Gate Zero coming West on the Vita too! Plus VNs that

VC2 got a Western release, though... And if you can’t find it on the cheap in stores, it’s on the PS store, and it can be played with the Vita as well. It’s a pretty good game, a proper VC, even though you have to make do with repetitive game areas to accommodate the PSP. And gone is the canvas cell-shading... But I

Yep, THAT point... But it puts the V in VC, doesn’t it?

I played VC on the PS3 and loved it to bits. I played VC2 on the PSP, I bought VC3 and one of these days I’ll have a try at emulating on PC with the English language patch... And because I want to send a message, I got the PS4 remastered version today, not that I want a VC2-VC3 collection, mind. In fact, I’m rather

I’m torn between complaining that SH didn’t make this list, or feeling smug that it got so widely mentioned in the “best 20 JRPGs”... Anyway, even if it got the same recognition as FF, the SH series so good that it would still be underappreciated!

EDM it isn’t, but you can start annoying your coworkers right away!

And we didn’t even have the holy hand grenade of Antiochus...

Same here. In fact, I get suspicious when I hear that some people are shocked by Senran Kagura. What kind of strange thoughts are they trying to repress, exactly? But I’m most probably dead inside, if I have to pick one of your two possibilities!

Welcome to the wonderful world of visual novels, Mr Walsh. And one could add “not quite book”...

When I saw that, I couldn’t believe my eyes either... If he ever picks it, I’m pretty sure that he’ll be comforted in his national superiority. Look at the French, they’re stuck with black and white! That, or he’ll have his A/V system checked...

Old game for the old console, but I quite liked The Last Guy, not a system seller for sure, but a modern reinterpretation of Pac-Man with a Google Maps twist.

No worries. PES fans will be delighted to hear that every player, every team, and every stadium will be featured in the UEFA Euro 2016 Pachinko machine.

I was looking for such a comment, thanks! I was (and I still am) quite fond of Unison, and their long-rumoured new LP should get a release this year, hopefully. Maybe there’s still some life left in witch house, then?

I have two Vitae (yep, show-off who happened to learn Latin here!), one PCH-1000 and one PCH-2000. OK, I got the PCH-1000 back from the missus, who didn’t give it any love.

As both a Vita player and a Danganronpa fan, I’m glad that more players are now able to enjoy Monokuma’s antics.

23? Nice, but I’m more partial to this 23.

Pascal Langdale, it must be said, is one hell of a voice actor. He delivers one of the best, non-verbal representations of pain that I’ve ever heard.

Considering the relative success of Steins;Gate in Europe (or UK at least, but I’m pretty sure that quite a few sales came from continental Europe, like mine, to start with), I wouldn’t dismiss a localisation just yet.

Right, that’s what I read in different reviews, not my word for it, for I haven’t played the still unreleased PS4 version. Sorry, I should have been more precise, and I’m sad as well to see the franchise leave the Vita.

That’s Japan for you: everything has been cleaned up the next minute!
