GO BEYOND THE IMPOSSIBLE AND KICK REASON TO THE CURB.
I knew I could count on GL from that point on. There's been lots of comments about Panty & Stocking in the past reviews. I read online today that Panty & Stocking was what happened during a staff vacation after production on GL completed. Apparently when director

All while homaging Lupin III. He even lampshades it with a conversation about the red jacket versus green jacket. He's the otaku too, he even talked about "the deep mysteries of eva" last episode. He's a perv-dad and otaku.

The real lesson of the episode is that everyone is vulnerable to curry.

FROM THE PREVIEW FOR EPISODE 3: MARQUIS DE CARABAS
HARUKO:
"Anime directors like cats, because they don't have to take care of them. You know! They can't even take care of themselves! Oshii is probably the only director that loves dogs. He thinks he's a dog himself! Next on FLCL, episode 3, Marquis de Carabas! Guess

I love that Jet being "too well adjusted" is actually a bad thing in regards to his ability to lead an episode.

All of these are valid criticisms of the episode. Meifa was an alright-NOT-awesome-one-off character. And given the bar set for one-off characters, we are right to expect more from Bebop.
Can I request for the final couple of episodes, Abrams does a "stray observations" or a "3,2,1, Lets Jam" section about the music?

The movie is a part of the overall continuity.
Shinchiro Watanabe explained that the film takes place between episodes 22 and 23.

I really want this to be a feature of the reviews now.

Director Kazuya Tsurumaki threw it in "because it was cool".
But I'm sure there is an actual significance.
INTERVIEWER: What is the significance of “Never Knows Best”
TSURUMAKI: Oh that? Originally, it was a cigarette on a postcard I have.
What did it say on the cigarette? It was a close-up picture of a cigarette that had

Hey, I guess I can post this now that it's relevant.
If you don't have the DVDs, here's the translated commentary transcript by (series director) Kazuya Tsurumaki for episode 2.

Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt:
The show that would be on Adult Swim, if Adult Swim still had balls.

"The point here is that Naota has become aware of how keenly Mamimi needs guidance, and he has developed the emotional strength to want to help her. He is still a child, but he is learning responsibility. Soon he will learn that some of the people he feels most drawn to protect, in this case Mamimi, must find their

An Unreliable Narrator WOULD LIKE an episode filled with Unreliable Narration.
What? I'm not prejudiced…

For anyone wondering why Haruko and others fight with guitars….
A slang for guitar is axe. This actually makes sense later.

…AND THAT'S WHY you always do the research.

The only episode of any TV series that can get you on a prescription for anti-anxiety medication.
Trust me, I know, I watch Breaking Bad.

Good point about Faye this episode! She and Jet get to show how much they worry about Spike this episode. Faye even tries to keep Spike out of it, but he discovers the mail anyway.
Spike: "Maybe this is the one, the one I won't come back from, the end."
Faye is very concerned. The scene hits the brakes.
Spike: "Just

IMPRESSSSSSSSSIVE!!!!!!!!!

From the preview for episode 2, firestarter:
HARUKO:
"The advance is hip right now, but the original has a place in my heart. Unlike pocket, there was only the plastic grey, though color had killer app use for things like the sewing machine, not much use for virtual anymore, huh? Next time on FLCL, episode 2:
