Yanno? I have too damn many stories. I am 53 now, and mostly get left alone, but when I was 12 and up? Construction workers, dudes in cars, guys at the bar WHEN I WAS WITH PEOPLE, and let us not forget that sexual harassment was so endemic that we didn't even think of *reporting* it.

Simon was not a baby! He just wears that strange underwear.

It was a thief outfit! Like a catburglar.

I would trust your words over that "biographer". Deconstruction is fine, but coloring in the past in today's Pantone is lazy at best.

Young Maury Chaykin as Ignatius in Confederacy.

I remember that issue of Cosmo fondly!

As a person born with a facial defect, Lucy Grealy's story is one of my favorites. Her best friend Ann Patchett wrote about their friendship, and Grealy's adult life and early death in Truth And Beauty.

Total agreement! How could Rigby not tell EVERYONE EVERYWHERE? I can see how Mordecai would be so self-involved as to not notice, though.

Finn is what, sixteen, seventeen? I think we can forgive him for some emotional ambivalence. Jake is about his age, right? And Joshua and Margaret are dead… how long do dogs live? Jake seeing Death in a field in his dream, gives me the bad feeling. Cosmic Owl's croak dream is one thing, natural lifespans are

They make a remarkably excellent thing. Which is wonderful to me, since Eileen is the one who had to reel that doofus Rigby in. He's been great to her.

Me too!

Bull Durham riff. Kevin Costner's best role!

I reckon I have different standards for a musical! :) I haven't seen the film, or even the new documentary, so this could be a good thing. At the very least, it will introduce people to someone they might never have heard of! wrt to the colorism… Do you remember that film of "Little Shop of Horrors"? One of my

Oh, that is not my point at all. Zoe is a fine actress, and I am sorry that the producers felt the NEED to alter her skin tone. My issue is with things like "composite characters", and made up events.

I'm reasonably certain that all any of us is doing is expressing an opinion. MY opinion is that something that purports to be a biographical tale should have basic elements of fact.

It doesn't need to be a slavish tribute, but it would be great if it reflected her actual and very well documented life instead of spinning a tale.

This is the first ep of this show I ever watched, after reading the recaps all along. That little Edie! Superstar. The rest of the show? Meh. It didn't actively appall me like Brooklyn 99, at least. So much of television is not directed at my interests. Sadface.

Zoe Saldana in blackface, and David O playing a "composite character" are going to do what to enhance the memory of Miss Simone?

I am saving the recordings to do just that!

This run was worth it for the were-lizard-person. That episode was all the old magic. Duchovny and Anderson absolutely brought it. We'll always have Jose Chung…
