Saving graces: Tom Waits on the soundtrack, the visual of Scully and Mulder holding hands and walking. Tripping balls Mulder was amusing schtick, but pointless.

I didn't hate it, because Scully and Mulder together bring me joy. Shitty script, though. Derivative, shallow, cheap… Okay, I hated it.
Kaitlyn Jenkins is dancing, teaching dance, and being in front of the camera when she can.
That bugged me too. She doesn't know her *name* ?
I enjoyed it, but it's a lot more modern, so easier to capture on screen. Much more streamlined story, too. Which isn't saying much.
It's… I can't evy say, the dumbed down version? I know it's supposed to be Tolstoy, it said so on the label.
She's often been shot with billowing clothing, very dramatic and powerful. At least the photographic director gets it!
Iris rolling around in her son's ashes, then allowing the wind to "scatter" them from her body? That was an amazingly deep and evocative scene that didn't feel like it belonged in this show at all. She is free of her past now. That could really be the theme of this episode, freedom v imprisonment.
Evan Peters has been delightful this season! You can tell he's having a fantastic time camping it up. Sarah and Angela are utterly wasted this season, so much talent given nothing to do… but it's been FUN, and that's all I ask. Grand Guignol giggles.
Aw, I liked this episode! Liz Taylor looking FABULOUS, Angela and Gaga having all the glamour everywhere! Much sadness that my girl Gabby had such a brief interlude… but will she be trapped in the hotel now, too? This show is much better when you just sit back and look at the pretty pictures knowing that there will…
Does it seem like the books are being followed, or is it a loose adaptation to compress it for TV?
This is the only episode I've seen, thanks to a DirecTV glitch. What a rambling cluster! Fisher King meets Black Swan colliding with VC Andrews? Great dancing, anyway!
The image of starfish shaped baby Eileen in her snowsuit was such a great callback to starfish Eileen in her stretchy dance costume!
Scotch that tastes like seaweed and smoke. Fucking *nectar*.
