Perfect start. It's so dark and badass; I love my complex dual female antiheroes! I also find our new Suitor to already be 1000% more interesting and complex. I'm also intrigued to learn more about Romeo.

I might also add that Lexa kicked a dude OFF A BALCONY for bringing a message of disrespect from the Ice Nation so like… literally killing the messenger.

Actually, no. LEXA believed in punishing Finn alone. She was a VISIONARY. Lexa spared Roan for a whole bunch of reasons, not least being political motivation to create an Ice King and stronger ally with Azgeda. Hell, she spared the Ice Nation in the first place after they murdered Costia. Lexa's POV was
significantly

tbh, it's out of character that Indra wouldn't want that for Bellamy. Hell, look at how Gustus was killed, and suffered the cuts, for trying to FRAME Raven. If death has no cost, life has no worth. And Bellamy is a straight up murderer with no just cause. Just like Finn, his reasoning was thin at best. But Bellamy

Bellamy may not have led, but he made it possible. He committed treason to get Pike guns when they tried to SNEAK OUT and commit the slaughter in the dead of night, then rallied the fearful people behind a warmongering Pike to get him elected over Kane, THEN went out with the team again and slaughtered 300 innocents

This is going to be my go-to argument around this from now on. Bellisimo

I love that "waste of breath" is the ark version of "waste of space", I'm adding it to my growing list of Arkadian slang (it goes so well with Trig!)

It's canon in the show that he isn't American… so he's just using his regular New Zealand accent, if not tamping it down slightly to be more understandable to American audiences…

True true true. But in her own words, Clarke can "do both" when it comes to loathing and self-loathing.

I do like that he was actually shitty and putting on the bandage, like she immediately had to fix it when he walked away.

"Bellamy is not a hero. He's an asshole." I snorted, bless you.

I had to take break from analysis and commenting for a while. But what's come into sharp focus for me is that, while this has always been a show that dealt in violence and death, it was never a show to deal those out willy-nilly–in fact, a key idea was "if death has no cost, life has no meaning."

Clarke's whole arc in Polis was about coming to terms with the brutal choices she's made – aided by Lexa's parallel leadership example, and encouragement, plus time and space. It's brutal to have them try to bring her back to square one. The positive is, she IS much much more confident and stronger now.

I truly found the UTI song to be AWESOME because it felt… realistically domestic? Like the silly sexy jokes that you can only make at home with your significant other, even about serious / gross things.

I must say that "I Gave You a UTI" was a shining moment in a show that is just overflowing with strong writing (book and libretto)

I'm on that double-edged sword train too! We're already seeing Raven start to question things and she only just got on the chip. They've made a point this season to show that she is a brilliant mechanic, but not an engineer — my hope is that somehow brings in Monty (even Jasper?) to pick up that slack and help Raven

Let's add another fear to this pot: earlier in the season Jaha could remember Wells (or at least why he was important)… and now, not so much. What if prolonged CoL chip affects your brain permanently? Raven's brain!!!!!

oooo boy. Well if actions speak louder I would say that Lexa not destroying Arkadia after the massacre is a pretty huge action, one that saves lives and risks her own. But you've peaked my curiosity, what could Lexa do to redeem herself in your eyes? This is a serious question, I'm actually intrigued by your answer :)

Maybe it's a shipping issue for you, but did you miss the significance of Lexa's super intimate bow and vow to Clarke… and literally every heavy layered conversation they've had since Clarke was taken to Polis for her safety (and to stop a war)? Lexa is pushing huge changes to the basic philosophies of her people's

I think they've done some simple foreshadowing there in I think, 303? Clarke says to Abby "You can either be the 13th station, or you can be the 13th clan" Like literally, you can join in peace, or you can be blown out of the sky. And in this case, it seems like Arkadia is on the way towards SELF destruction (so make
