Aw, I always kinda liked it. It was one of the few comics I would actively seek out if I saw a newspaper in my reach.

IIRC, mosquitos don't even do that. If they went extinct, other similar insects would fill their niche

I just have a Slack Bot repost all of @ProBirdRights directly to its own little channel. That's all the Twitter I need.

Well I'm glad I never cared/knew anything about Earthworm Jim aside from it being a game the animator of Super Mario Bros Z named his avatar after.

Do I have to do all your work for you? Look, here's the add he took out right here:

There was this guy in college who wanted to join our themed housing hall Arda (for people who like sci-fi and anime and being dorks together), and the screening process involved having everyone line up and answer stupid questions like "make up a superhero name for yourself" or "propose a really bad ship" (the guy who

I actually really enjoy the Denny's tumblr. It's the dumbest thing.

You can also try making a tabletop game, which I've always enjoyed since there's something nice about the tactile-ness of every gamepiece being physically there, plus you don't even need a computer to do it.

His tweets are all still there! You just can't see them anymore because they're transparent.

Try Ace Attorney! Or Steins;Gate if you're feeling really adventurous.

Yeah, I don't really care what the exact definition of "game" is, and I'm a freaking game designer. Heck, I don't think my professors all agreed on the same definition.

I've been making (crappy) games since elementary school, it's not really that hard with the right software. Game Maker and RPG Maker everyone knows about, but my personal favorite is this software line made by French company The Clickteam.

I kinda like that. You could always shorten it to ENG, like with RPG or FPS.

Nah, describing it in terms of what it lacks instead of what it focuses on doesn't make much sense. And besides, if your problem is it's too broad, isn't "walking simulator" even worse? Basically EVERY game simulates walking!

Perhaps, but the fact that it's described using the term "exploration" instead of something more specific like "shooter" makes it pretty clear what is being talked about, and exploration is the one theme all games in this genre seem to have in common most often.

Argfgh, I just realized I called it an FPS by accident

I don't know if it was "supposed" to feel any particular way. That said, I found it to be bittersweet.

OK, but I really think the name "Walking Similator" is a stupid word to make the "official" term for the genre. I prefer Arlo's suggestion to call them First Person Exploration games, or FPEs.
