I'm starting to worry that maybe the people we need to convince don't understand satire.
Does anyone know off the top of their head what the evolutionary advantages were to being white? Pale skin just seems to make you more sensitive to sunlight.
I think the idea here is less about the specific labels we give various kinds of bigotry and more about the importance of separating casual, everyday racism at an individual level from entrenched social dynamics that actively favor one kind of racism in particular.
Wouldn't reverse discrimination just be… equality? It really says something about these people's mindsets that to them, the opposite of racism is different racism.
This is because the primary point is that rounding up any group of people based on their statistical trends instead of individual actions is a bad idea.
That's not to say examining instances of classism isn't a useful thing to do, since all the -isms are pretty interconnected, especially race and class.
Oh, then I guess it's OK if the police are only killing people sometimes. I mean, sure, they're supposed to be enforcing these laws they break, but that's probably nothing to worry about. As long as they're not responsible for most of the murders committed in this country.
Better to assume they're joking when doing so has no downsides. It shouldn't be your problem if someone's insane viewpoints stretch the bounds of believability, and if you play along you're either in on a joke or mocking them unintentionally, which is hilarious.
Nah, even if it were somehow possible to choose who you are sexually attracted to, that wouldn't really matter. The important part is simply that nothing about homosexuality is harmful to society, and it is even arguably beneficial to allow such unions.

Was gonna say this.
