I found it really amusing that they took a boat named "Misery" and named it after Lapis.

I, for one, was genuinely not sure if Lapis would be able to refuse Jasper. Something about the tension in the music, and the way the camera lingered on her, got it so that right when I started to think, "oh god, I think she's actually considering doing this" she told Jasper no. And I breathed a sigh of relief.

Two of my friends were betting Lion Bucks on episode outcomes, then one of them lost them all in a bet that the last stevenbomb would have Stevonnie using a sword and shield.

It was also a nice callback to Garnet's "I can't say no to that face" in Monster Buddies.

It's not something people who didn't follow the fandom caught on to really; I certainly wouldn't have guessed it if I hadn't been on tumblr and reddit. I remember I was talking to someone who came up to my art booth at a con, and he was talking about the reveal like he had no idea anyone had predicted it.

For me, Monster Buddies is one of the few episodes that still makes me actually tear up a little.

Rose Quartz was the only Gem who had cleavage! It's confirmed then, she was a diamond!

A friend of mine really hated the one where Peridot tried to befriend Lapis, because he felt they should've just given the trauma victim some space and time alone. This might have to do with him having felt trapped at home to the point where he ran away, but I could see his logic in not liking the episode.

It actually made me think of Teddy, the way he's always really sweet, except when some random thing sets him off.
