This piece is absolutely silly and incredibly biased. Yes, leasing is terrible for the enthusiast, but for regular-joes it actually makes A LOT of sense, and you've chosen to omit any counter-point and inflate your financial sample as filling for your headline.

In the scenario we're talking about, the quality is a constant and the price is the only variable. My post made reference only to the perceived value that the buyer sees based solely on the end price of an object, not an actual difference in quality based on how much the object costs.
Offering a Chinese discount would literally be them admitting that the Chinese-made car is of less quality than the conventional model. Which is the opposite of their claims. It would give prospective buyers that impression as well, and negatively impact the already miniscule number of sales expected of this model…
Do we know how the weight compares to the hardtop version yet?
Can someone explain to me why these don't sell that well to the Prius-folk? I feel like this should be a much more appealing option for the majority of them; anyone who has a garage or driveway, at least.
