I’d happily recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the original. And for the record, the original is STILL the best movie the DCEU has. The only one that even comes *close* is the first Wonder Woman, but that didn’t quite stick the landing, thematically speaking.

It’s light-hearted, fun, charming, and has some laughs. It reminds me of the original Ant Man in that there’s nothing exceptionally great about it, but there’s also nothing exceptionally *bad* about it. It’s just a nice, fun, competently made film. And that's not a bad thing to be. 

It’s not really true marvel turned everything they touch to gold anymore, though. Phase 4 was mostly a shit show, and phase 5 is off to an incredibly mediocre start.
