they make me wish I could sprout adamantium spikes out of my shoulder blades, like Wolverine...

The Hairpin is good too. it’s probably the best alternative to here that I have found. I have a ton of downtime because I am home with my kids but they only want me when they want me. Like for books or to set up crafts or for food, etc. Then they are happily playing with each other, but I can’t leave because they all

You win for Best Comeback.

My dad used to joke when I had braces that all I needed in addition to those railroad tracks were glasses and then I would never find a husband.

Dad when I was 15: “You could stand to lose a few...” I was around 135 then...and I’m 5’7”.

Yes. It also kind of implies that it might have been the students’ fault for having unrealistic expectations. Like, “I’m sorry the experience is not what you hoped it would be” sounds like something the manager tells to a nutcase with an insane customer service complaint just to get them to go away. Like Yale’s going

I am also disheartened, but I’m not recognizing a lot of the names also so, they could probably just be trolling me. And I just have a hard time backing down especially on subjects like this. I’m just doing it to myself. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It’s the same bullshit that feminists get told: “Women in [x place] have to deal with starvation/violence/forced marriage/FGM/burqas/driving restrictions/etc., and you’re just a spoiled, whiny brat, feminism is giving women victim complexes, women in the West have nothing to complain about ...” It’s just a silencing

Great observation. I didn’t realize until you said it that this is what has been bothering me about this drug.

Thank you for this. As a minority who attended a peer of Yale’s, I can’t tell you how damaging the “shut up and be grateful” ended up being to me in the long run. The idea that everyone just shows up at an Ivy and has their life made is so far from the truth, but no amount of experience-sharing seems to override the

Salovey said after the meeting, to the Yale Daily News, “I would say that to have about 50 minority students in a room with me saying to me that their experience was not what they hoped it would be, I take personal responsibility for that and I consider it a failure.”

Ok, this is ridiculous. Would everyone be more supportive if these students were at Mizzou instead of Yale? Your biases are showing.

Yes, the number of recommends is insanely high given the time this extraordinarily long (for this blog) piece has been up. That’s a whole lot of people who had time to read the piece and the referenced documents, process it and determine it was worthy of wholesale dismissal.

Alcohol probably more of a libido enhancer than this pill, and it’s worst side effect is unintentional fedora-wearer sex.

I’m gonna keep posting this every time there’s a “female viagra” story because it bugs me so much: this is an anti-viagra. Viagra makes the willing able, this stuff makes the able willing.

Petition to stop calling this female viagra. Viagra is for when you feel desire, but can’t get the physical reaction you want. This is basically the opposite.

Well written piece Clover.

Almost all students? That’s blatantly false. I certainly wasn’t, and many many students and alum I knew were not. LIke me, there were plenty of lower-to-middle class, minority students (who were on full scholarships).
