Everyone has a story, darling. My meditation teacher used to say: your broken arm doesn’t heal my broken heart. That is your broken arm may, in actual reality, be worse but my broken heart still hurts.

Oh god I didn’t mean to overshadow your story!! I wanna hear it!! It’s been 2 years now (I think) since the trial and 4 since the incident. I’m recovering and know that karma will hit him with a bus/have a piranha eat his dick. SO i’m good! LOL

Maybe Elizabeth is going for the long game, and she'll pop up when we need her most. like Captain Planet. Just waiting for all the rings to combine.

My husband has a philosophy major and Masters in education. The philosophy degree is pretty much useless, and he can’t find a teaching job where we live. We just found out our son is autistic, so we are looking to move our of Ky (we are blue dots in a red state) but everywhere we look into, teacher salaries are…

I’m from the UK (but live in the US) and the idea of calling a cop to a classroom because of anything other than imminent harm/violence is baffling to me. I get that teachers have a hard time with disruption but it’s part of their job. It’s not the job of a policeman to use force in that situation.
“Just follow the rules.” Right, because all other teenagers across America didn’t make it on the news yesterday since they’re just “following the rules.” At every given moment in any given high school in America, a teenager is not following the rules. Because they’re teenagers.
Less angry answer from someone less prone to anger than me: “Paul Ryan is not some random famous or important person. Paul Ryan makes laws! If Paul Ryan wants to put family leave on the national agenda, he is uniquely positioned to do that by virtue of his (probable) position as speaker! He is exactly the kind of…
We should all go and cosplay as Vader, Palpatine, stormtroopers, etc. and hold signs like:
What about them? They are victimizers and deserve to be punished for abusing their authority and the trust of their charges. Next time there’s a story about one I will say as much. This story, though, is about a serial victimizer who happens to be male.
I'm a dude; is that what you want?
