Chrysler 2.2 Turbo III. 224 hp at 6000RPM. If I remember correct, the first domestic to breach the 100hp per liter of displacement back in 1991. With a little help from Lotus of course. ;)

Car designers have decided that 3 box design is passé.
I finally saw one in the flesh yesterday day in the Longhorn parking lot. And yep it’s just as terrible in person.
The Opel design language is currently the only thing pulling me toward Buick.
And that’s a STAR for “grille bagels”!
All the stars right here.
Because it is virtually the same car. Styling, wheels, and upgraded seats change nothing about the drive feel. They can make you like it more, sure. And I’ll agree the the G37S is a better looker than the G37X. Also, bigger brakes and an LSD doesn’t really change the feel of the car in any real way unless you are…
If it’s a toaster, then the “S” is a waffle iron. They are the same chassis and the same VQ engine with the same power output. Main difference is the X is slightly heavier due to the AWD, and the S got stiffer springs, shocks, and the option for a manual trans.
Yeah I know manual makes things better, but the X was so…
I’ve had several mk2's, mk3's, B3s, and B4s. Through friends I have been mk4-7 and B5-6 adjacent. Hell I still have a mk3 Golf. Once VW started to try to go the “Baby Audi” upmarket route in the mk4 generation it cut out the “affordable everyman fun car” crowd. Then they swung the pendulum too far the other direction…
Test drove a G37X with a buddy a few years ago and it was a huge snore fest. He ended up buying a Mazdaspeed3.
I pine for an F-Type and day dream about putting myself in one. Too bad the V6 6spd manual ones are on par with Unicorns in terms of rarity. Also this first gen is the one to have, because Jag RUINED the looks of the new 2021 models by ditching the vertical headlights and giving it squinty horizontal ones to make it…
Damn... At age 42, I had “almost” washed Rob Leifeld’s art from by brain. So much for that.
Just throw a decal on the visor or door frame like my Suzuki Sidekick had, “Vehicle is intended for offroad use and has a higher center of gravity. Do not make sudden maneuvers as vehicle may roll over. Always wear seatbelt.”, and call it good.
My buddy is a keyboardist in a local band. And used to only have one car. He would load up his full scale Roland, stand, amplifier, and processors into a NA Miata. As he said... “it was a tight fit, but I made it work for several years.”.

FJ5 Sublime/Lime Lite Green. Have one in the garage.
Exactly. I mean, there was a guy in my Mother’s neighborhood who collected AMC Matadors. He had like 5 of them in pristine/restored condition.
This!...
I mean it is creeping up on 40 years old at this point. If it was a similar condition and price I dunno.... Nash Rambler, Subaru 360, Dodge Polara, AMC Matador, insert “any” car from the 60s, 50s, or older, etc would it be getting as many CP?
It’s kind of just on the edge of desireable no matter what it is…
Distractions and screens play a huge role in this. But... I’m not going to discount sheer size of vehicle. I cannot count the number of giant SUVs and particular 3/4 and 1 ton trucks that are driven by people, who simply cannot handle such a large vehicle. They can’t maintain their lane, drifting from one line to the…
Neutral: Sort of... Not car shopping per se. Actually, I’m motorcycle shopping. However that has just come to a complete standstill in this COVID mess because the MC shops are all just shut down. So, I figure I’m SOL until at least middle of June.
