Companies like Lenovo (the X61 was made in roughly 2007, for instance) made tablet PC (x86 running Windows) computers with keyboards long before Microsoft. Microsoft did not create the segment. It goes to absoluteonice’s point. People think they did because it’s the more popular offering in that segment.
