Honestly, I don’t have a problem with it being there on the harder modes. It’s not like it’s doing anything but saving you time. If you’re the type that will use the divine pulse to undo a bad couple moves, you’re probably also the type to restart the level to undo it as well. Moving back a turn or two doesn’t

If I had to fathom a guess, it’s probably identical to Mila’s Turnwheel from Fire Emblem Echoes. You use it, and get to undo back as many turns as you want before locking in a single use. The only wrinkle from Echoes was that you couldn’t use it to fix instances where your main character died. (Likely because they

As others have said already, it loses a lot of the Warcraft charm by being rendered so realistically. I do think WoW could use a better lighting / shadow engine though, while still keeping the overall exaggerated, toony aesthetic. One thing that always impressed me about FFXIV was how being in the sunlight actually

I assume if anything, the SNES games will show up for the 1 yr anniversary of NSO, to entice the early 12 month subscribers into resubbing.

FFXIV: Shadowbringers has been out for less than a week, and I already want to know when I can buy the soundtrack.

I mean, Magic changes artwork all the time when they reprint a card, and nobody goes up in arms about it. What they should do is leave the original artwork for people who already have the cards, and have any new copies of the cards use the new artwork, for that true Card Game Feel(tm).

Eventually the old artwork will

I could have guessed that something named “Illusion of L’Phalcia” was the next game to roll off the Kemco RPG Mill. Somebody has to be buying these in order for them to keep releasing them. WHO IS IT?

“RPG Paper Maker” has a really dumb name, but the software looks neat. I suppose they likely had to title it the way

I know WHY they use 3D models, because people will whine and call it “an RPGMaker game not worth $60” if they don’t, but damn do I miss the colorful, fluid, and over the top combat animations from the GBA games.

I think it’s utterly hilarious that the player units all have a little portrait floating over their heads

At least the Switch version has the Battle Fast Forward!

Don’t we have two left? Piranha Plant isn’t part of the Fighter’s Pass. Unless I missed someone, we’ve seen Joker, Hero, and now Banjo/Kazooie.

I really want to know who dropped the ball here, because like. I like the setting, and the characters could be interesting, but you barely get to interact with them before the story is over. I guess I came into it expecting something like Just Cause 3, where the explosive antics were in support of a full-fledged story

And here I just uninstalled it today, because 14 hours in, I just finished the main campaign. And that included getting distracted by random bandit nests, chasing down convoys and taking out a ton of turrets that I wasn’t required to by the story.

They played the trailer, and I got super stoked about it, really enjoying the stylish look... and then they showed the actual game which looked boring as shit. Hell, I would even take a Keen runner over... whatever that is.

I mean, there was that Jazz Jackrabbit GBA game that kind of shat all over Jazz, so...

Hell, I would accept an FFTactics Collection on Current Consoles and Steam at this point. I never really got into A2 that much back on the DS.

So my only question is, are they using Divinity:Original Sin style combat, or the Infinity Engine Realtime-with-pause stuff?

Because I honestly feel like Larian have really nailed turn-based combat, but a lot of that is due to the interactions between skills and the environment and such. Hopefully they can recreate

Oh yeah, I was there for the nipple that rocked the world. And it wasn’t even a bare nipple, because she had that weird pastie on. Though to be fair, most of the effects it had were just to make the Super Bowl halftime show even less interesting to watch for years afterward as they went back to “safe” acts instead of

There was a big rush of people at the start, but there were a lot of complaints as well, about the lack of server capacity, the utter simplicity of the game and complete lack of features that were expected to be there. It wasn’t a disaster by any means though.

And yeah, unlikely that it will be a pay upfront model,

Pokemon GO had a rough start due to the trailer being, well, trailer bullshit like every trailer in existence, and people getting their hopes set way too high. Since then it’s evolved into a decent AR game that has a dedicated following and brings in a ton of money for Niantic / Nintendo, while at the same time having
