Outer Worlds is now also skipping Steam and GOG for a year. Epic and Windows Store only at launch.

I’m not sure we’ll see Rondo or Symphony in here, given that they just had the PS4 re-release, and there might be some agreement there, but you never know. We might get Dracula X / Vampire’s Kiss as a stand-in for Rondo though. Given that the rest of the titles are “classic” vanias, I could see Castlevania Chronicles

I dunno. I’m fine with the way they’ve split these up, depending on what the unrevealed titles are. I’m unlikely to care about the Contra Collection, so I’m happy to be able to get just the Castlevania titles for a lower price.

So I did some reading into the Steam agreements that we all quickly skip over when creating an account, and as much as I’d love for these people to suffer some consequences for being utter shit human beings, unfortunately, I can’t find anything in the Steam Code of Conduct or Steam Subscriber Agreement that would

I always felt it was an interesting decision in Super Mario World to gate off the Super Feather until Donut Plains, vs giving you the Super Leaf almost immediately in SMB3.
If I had to fathom a guess, I’d say it was probably because being the first Mario game on a completely new system, they were concerned that it

Don’t forget Hurk. Of course he’ll be there, and make some comment about angering the Monkey God. Because god forbid we get a Far Cry game without Hurk.

I’m completely for Far Cry just embracing the weird and ridiculous. Just like Assassin’s Creed giving us a protagonist that eventually doesn’t die from fall damage and can pull fire and poison out of their ass, sometimes giving up that bit of reality can make for a game that’s way more fun.

Far Cry is basically

If you want players to appreciate the size of the world, then give them something to do in the world other than fly over it. WoW has had a recurring problem where end-game activities always funneled people into a specific area and ignored the rest of the map entirely. The apexis dailies in BC, tournament dailies in

I’m just glad we’re at a point with gaming where it’s financially viable to make things that are basically “period pieces”. Like, now that tech has advanced so much, we have people embracing the looks and techniques of the past, but with updated design sensibilities, and that’s super cool to me.

Just make the new Battle Game into the next Switch Online app. 4-player matches, one player in the pilot seat of each ST and handling movement, while the other two players have to use the Labo VR blaster to handle the gunner duties. Explain away the fact that everyone’s doing two-seater STs now by the fact that ST

I’ll never understand Square-Enix’s ability to shoot themselves in the foot. They had a measurable success with Octopath on the Switch, so obviously it makes perfect sense for the followup to be a phone game. Ugh.

So the real question is, will it be Warcraft II, or will it be Warcraft II: Battle.NET Edition?

OK, but does the VR blaster come with a new Battleclash?

This was like a perfect slam dunk situation for them. All they had to do was remove it and say “yeah, no.”. Trying to weasel word your way around rape of all things is just... like, who are they trying to cater to in this instance?

Even if they wanted to PR-speak it, they could have said something like, “although we

I kind of wish the Petroglyph guys would make a new C&C game, but just call it something else.

8-bit Armies was basically a gameplay clone, with the same Construction Yard / Power / Refinery economy, but the units were all sort of generic military units, with none of the sci-fi craziness that C&C had. The blocky “8-bit

I mean, there are. Gen 6 even had the starters get secondary types in a reverse triangle so they’re all super effective against each other. (Dark / Psychic / Fighting ).

Steel / Ice / Ground is another weakness triangle, but it’s just that none of them are as quick to grasp as Grass / Water / Fire.

Starters are always going to be Fire / Water / Grass, because it’s the simplest and easiest way to immediately introduce new players to the Weakness / Resistance system. It’s FAR easier to remember that fire burns grass, grass absorbs water, water puts out fire than to use any of the other triangles.

I vote that if Far Cry needs a recurring character between games, that we retire Hurk and make Nana the new mascot. After all, she’s a witch, and you can’t kill her.

But has his replacement been trained in Reggie’s most powerful skill?
Giving a 5 minute answer to a question without actually ever answering the question.

The beginning parts of the game have Velvet being ANGRY(tm) for a large part of it, and devoid of a lot of personality other than hate and indifference, which can get a little grating, but it starts to get better as the story moves on. You also sort of get answers to some of those things later on too, but I don’t want
