Which is funny, because I felt the combat system in PoE2 was a huge improvement over the first game, since I tended to never use my cool abilities at all unless shit was really hitting the fan, because well, I might need it later when shit hits the fan.

I used the same strategy all throughout PoE, just sending

I’m going to be upset if the “Director’s Cut” release isn’t just called “Monster Hunter Ultimate”.

It sounds like the kind of game I would love - If I were younger and had hours upon hours of free time to devote to getting lost in the wilderness. Nowadays I LIKE it when a game lays out “Here’s how much you’ve done, and how much there’s left to see” because it lets me decide whether that map thingy is worth my time

Needs more Ehrgeiz.

See, now, I could believe that if they hadn’t already ported D5C to the Switch, complete with all the Networking features intact. I guess I just get the feeling that it was either A) A lazy port and they didn’t want to take the time to test network features on the PC, B) They didn’t think it would sell well enough on

I guess my problem is that I have a hard time understanding what irreconcilable platform differences there could be to prevent a PC program from accessing a network server. I can’t imagine the network features in Disgaea 5 being much more than accessing information in a database, downloading it, and using it (since

They’ll add support for roleplay fights, but lock it behind the next Eureka section.

If they go through with it, hopefully it gives Obsidian the stability to continue doing what they do best but without worrying about the money.

I do worry that they’ll try to push them into bigger budget things again instead of them continuing on with Pillars though.

My other gripe is that they’ll likely not release

Err... was there a way to play 1-2-Switch in Handheld mode?
Because from what I’ve seen of that game, that would also be impossible.

I’m pretty sure you can’t play Just Dance without Motion Control either, whether it be via joy-con or cell phone.

I’d rather a game have an idea of what it wants to do and use control

“Strange Tactical Soccer” sounds like it could make for a fun game.

Like FFT / Disgaea, but you’re moving units and using crazy abilities to score on a goal and- oh god, it’s just Blitzball.

Although there were a ton of fun games on the PSX, I think I’d honestly be more interested if it were a PS2 Classic instead. Mainly for the same reason I wouldn’t be interested in an N64 Classic. The games for the most part have just not aged well.

Between the primitive 3D and developers still kind of figuring out how

It’s at least slightly justified in the case of Final Fantasy XIV, as it’s an MMO, and allowing a subset of players to start the expansion early helps cut down on congestion on launch day. (Not enough, as evidenced by Raubahn Savage after the launch of Stormblood, but it could have been even worse if everyone was

Given that we have had kickstarters for both Mega Man and Dark Souls board games, I’m going to say, yes.

And honestly, tabletop gaming isn’t as sure a bet as video games. You’re right that they’re using it as a pre-order system, but it’s mainly as a way to reduce risk. With all the miniatures involved, it’s probably

So when does Four Job Fiesta add a mode that determines your party using these blind box buttons? :)

I more or less understand why it isn’t done anymore, but I have to say that I kind of really miss the Shareware model. Aside from being able to freely distribute the games, being able to play a fully-featured demo of the main game was such an enticement to buy the rest of it.

It resulted in Tales of Berseria being made though, which is one of my favorite entries in the series.

Every time I see news about the Pokemon TCG, it astounds me how much power creep there’s been since the WotC days. You’d almost never see Pokemon with 100+ HP and damage was scaled back too. Pretty much any random deck these days could run circles around a WotC-era deck.

I dunno, Nintendo has some pretty strong feelings about puns.

Or, you know, just shoots through or around the metal detector, because bullets tend to be able to traverse long distances.

Add to that, malls are already having problems staying open across the country. You think any of them are going to shell out for metal detectors and armed guards at every entrance? Especially
