This is quite possibly the most Nintendo thing Nintendo has ever done.

Mythic Rares are why I said “roughly” the same rarity. And Mythic Rares only ever replace the Rare slot, so you still have the guarantee of 10 Commons, 3 Uncommons, 1 Rare or Better, and 1 Basic Land (Plus a possible chase card).

I’m more thinking of the comparison to something like Overwatch or HotS where the loot box

I think the reason MtG booster packs still get a pass in a loot-box-hostile world is that although you don’t know exactly what you’re getting in each booster pack, you always get roughly the same rarity. You’re never going to open a booster pack of Magic cards and get nothing but Commons.

These are my favorite kinds of Nintendo Directs, where they show a bunch of stuff that will be available in the next 6 months, as opposed to “Soon(tm)“

See, my take on that position is that I’m happy to see Star Wars try something new because I’ve already seen the other stuff before. I’m more than happy to see more of the Star Wars universe as a whole, and to expand the stories and characters in that world rather than returning to what’s already been done.

The FFXIV Localization team is my favorite.

FFXIV has mochi pounding as part of the New Year’s event too.

I feel like whether people can make it through Trails in the Sky or not depends mainly on when they started playing JRPGs. It’s definitely an older-style JRPG, and people who have grown up on the PS2 era and later of Persona, Tales, and Xenoblade probably aren’t used to games being that... slow.

That said, the PC

I dunno, hunger seems like it would distract too much from the exploration without adding much benefit to the game. As it stands now, you can explore to your heart’s content, with the only issues being environmental. Desert heat, extreme cold, the air is fire, WHY IS IT RAINING AGAIN MID-CLIMB?, etc.

It really does

Now this is (mode 7) podracing!

Clearly what we really need are Super Star Wars style 16 bit platformers for Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.

Armor weight can be seen by using the scale in the storage room. Characters in heavy armor (Like Bear and Bison) tend to act later in the order.

Shields are obvious. They increase your DEF number, but damage taken only goes down when you get the block animation.

I too started scouring different places online for

So I’ve been playing through Romancing SaGa 2 on the Switch, and it’s fascinating to think about just how different it is from the SNES Final Fantasy games, despite being made at the same time. Whereas FF is ultimately a straightforward combat system, RS2 has so many little wrinkles and complications in it, like armor

Goddamn Allagans. What can’t they fuck up?

I dunno, it kind of focused each chapter on a different type of crafting, so you went from table, to smithing, etc.

I’m excited to see what sort of improvements are in the sequel though.

It’s a good time. My latest randomizer had ICE3 for sale in Corneria as a L1 spell. My Red Mage was very happy.

See, now I enjoyed the quest progression, because it gave structure to the game. I always tend to get bored with plain old Minecraft after a short while, because I can do anything, but have no reason to really do it, but having defined goals and such made this game a blast for me.

See, that’s a possibility, but Sakurai seemed pretty burned out after S4. I imagine he’d like to take a break from the pressures of managing a brand new iteration of the series for at least a while. They’ve also been quietly issuing re-releases of old Smash Bros Series amiibos to keep them out there and available.

As someone who owned a Wii U and most of the first party releases for the Wii U, I say... go ahead and re-release them all on the Switch. There were a ton of excellent games that people should get to play if they missed them, and I’d love to see Star Fox Zero reworked into something without the awkward dual-screen

Man, this just reminds me of how good Tales of Berseria was. Hopefully they announce a new main series Tales game soon.
