Well, the HP bug is mostly caused by an issue with Play Rough, which they’ve stated they’re working on. It’s a display issue with the big bar vs the actual HP shown when you go to pick a target (the latter is correct, the big bar is not).

I can also learn Iron Head via TM, which would nip most fairy types fairly quickly. It’s hard to say what it’ll have, but my gut feeling is that they’re going to try and stop the most common builds from the previous raids. It’s quite easy to build a pokemon in SV, so there’s no compelling reason for them not to stop…
Eh, honestly it felt like there was still so much room to expand on the first game. I kinda wish we’d gotten some DLC of some sort. Still, I won’t so no to a sequel either. It’s actually a problem I’ve had with their games. A lot of fun, but I always seem to want more. I wouldn’t say no to more Bastion either.
Yeah, none of the moves it’s using have great accuracy, and when it uses Sunny Day it doesn’t help itself in that regard, so nuking that is a viable strat. Mud Slap on Azumarill also works. Running snarl or spirit break to destroy it’s Sp.Atk so it can’t do more than tickle anyone is also a common strat with Umbreon…
Well, When I do run belly drum, I also run Shell Bell. A lot of these pokemon have SO much HP that large hits will heal you easily. At least for the charizard raid though, debuffs > self buffs as Charizard will not wipe them again after the opening scripted attack, where buffs get wiped at around 50%. To drill this…
First time around, I was like “I’ll use Palossand, this should be cake!” and it proceeded to shadowball me into oblivion. I’ve also run up against a Dragonite with Aqua Tail. I think it was a grass tera. That was unfortunate.
5* raids are lvl 75, a large jump from 4*s. Ideally be greater than that. Also, not being weak to the base > super effective against the tera. It definitely helps but it does no one any good if you keep dying to earthquake on garchomp because its tera type was water and you brought an electric type.
Also....learn to…
That’s how it’s supposed to work. There are however 2 things.
Ground type is about the only one you could have used there. Psychic is weak to bug, and poison only has 2 weaknesses. I had a particularly nasty Garchomp one early on that I was never able to beat due to the typing. (I forget what the tera was now. I want to say Poison as well). It also had a brutal set of moves…
Honestly the timer is just too short for some of thes, and a KO is too punishing. But, the other problem is two fold. One, people don’t bring pokemon that are good against the base type, but just against the tera type, which mean the moves the base knows may utterly wreck you. Two, sometimes the pokemon have attacks…
As far as I can tell from my anecdotal testing, the issue is with Play Rough rather that huge power, though that definitely exacerbates the issue. I’ve had the same issue using Tinkaton who doesn’t have Huge Power and has no bosting items. I’ve had several raids where, if I use that, it seems to do more damage than it…
The Palossand one was probably my favorite. TBH, there are more dark ones that just what’s listed here. I’d say this is probably the most morbid dex in a while.
The Violet dex has a very differnt take from the Scarlet one. It gives off the impression of a scrap collector / trash engineer. Still, definitely my favorite from this gen by far.
That is also true. It also gets a special fire based HP steal which lets it just roll over lots of things.
Didn’t bother me at all playing through the game. Maybe it’s because I’m an older gamer and voice acting in RPGs wasn’t a thing when I was younger. Personally, I prefer my pokemon without VA. VA often adds voices that don’t fit the characters or the voice can just be annoying.
Fully evolved Fuecoco is basically dominant against 5 out of 8 gyms. Bug, Grass, Psychic, Ghost, and Ice. All of these are weak to fire or ghost. That's not to say you can't deal with these other ways, but at least for the main game it's quite strong.
It’s always been a bit of a weird thing with RPGs, but it also kinda gives the world a “lived in” feel. Like, you get to go in and talk to people and they’re doing things. When I cant explore a town or shops, it just feels like I’m in a place with big square obstacles.
Yeah, I’m with you on this. It’s fun enough to explore, but all the towns and cities are just...meh.
I am still playing as the gameplay itself is fine. That said, this is probably the least enjoyable Pokemon game in some time. Particularly for me, because the open world feels rather bland. Like, the world itself is nicely realized but I feel like I’m playing in a giant diorama. I will say the fact that we can’t…
Part of me hopes that it ends up being really powerful just so people will be compelled to use it.
