Yeah, L4D was pretty good at what it was, and it fit the theme well. It was quite enjoyable for its time. Mentally, I kinda mark it as the last “good” zombie thing before stuff reached a critical saturation point for me. I think, what finally killed it for me was TLoU honestly, a game widely regarded as pretty great.…
For sure. I’ve definitely reached the point where if the game/movie/whatever’s main deal is just zombies, I don’t even give it a second look. I’m just don’t find them interesting at all.
Just curious, were you able to beat her?
Bah, took too long and can’t edit again.
Yeah, WFD has a kind of...cadence (hence dance) 1-2 pause 3 1-2-3. After the first set of 3, dodge forward as she jumps at you for the next set, then maybe 1 more dodge in the same direction to put a bit more space so as to not get clipped by the AoE at the end. Takes a bit of practice and I still messed it up here or…
I mean, ashes are a game mechanic (if that‘s what you mean by summon, and not players), use them. She heals from hitting them, same as you, so they’re mostly a distraction. Anyway, Stars of Ruin is very effective against her as it has phenomenal tracking and hits fairly hard. She’s also weak against Frost (not as much…
I agree with this one. Those jerks are the worst. Especially since they can spot you from a LONG way off. Far enough you likely weren’t even aware of them the first time, until a giant spear of an arrow impales you from halfway across the map....only a minor exaggeration.
Overall it is rather silly, but it does have its darker moments. I can see why you noped out, though I can say that nothing actually ends up happening to them.
Having watched, without giving spoilers, you’ll encounter said enemies all over the place. They’re not particularly spoilery though and you may have encountered some already. How irritating they are will depend on your approach to combat. (I found them to be a minor nuciance)
Honestly....Armor doesn’t matter all that much. I found the Nox Night Maiden gear and fell in love and it’s all I’ve been wearing for a while. Can great armor help, yes. Do you really need it? no. I’d consider myself a fairly average player as well.
I don't see any no damage lvl 1 dance pad runs in my future either.
There's always a few in these games. Really easy and lazy is fine....as long as it doesn't negatively affect others
You can (if you are skilled) beat this game at level 1. There are videos of people doing it. The reality is there are always people who will take the easy or lazy way because they can. It's just life.
To be fair, it takes you a LOT of rocks. It only takes him 1 or 2 hits to end you.
At least in WoW you can just not pick it up. That said, a lot of the grey/white stuff was there specifically to be sold for quick cash.
The crystallian one was annoying but I find the crucible knights to be much more frustrating to fight. Very few openings, high poise, and hit like trucks. As I’m not using a sheild with my build, super frustrating. The crystallians, there’s a trick (and a smidge of luck) use a something that does lots of poise damage,…
That doesn't cost FP either, which makes it (IMO) better.
I am not a sheild user, so they are irritating. They are easy to poise break though, assuming you get the jump on them
I'll have to try the frog guys for comparison, but I HATE the centipede dudes. They're fast and if you don't get the jump on them they can just destroy you from range.
