Dunno about Ralph’s, but Vons/Safeway/Pavilions (same corporation), just by sheer volume, have to be above TJ’s. Hell, even Whole Foods has 96 stores in the state and although that’s (exactly) half of TJ’s 192, the square footage and density of the average WF should vault it above Trader Joe’s as well.

I don’t know about your shopping habits, but we do 70% of our grocery shopping (most of it, admittedly, non-produce) at TJ’s. Chicken, eggs, dairy, frozen veggies and meals, flour, condiments, canned goods, you name it. It is most definitely NOT just a snack store.

Vons is Safeway. At least in Southern California.

I bought one (with a stick) for $5K in August 2019, sold it in March 2021 for $7.5K. Regretting it to this day. It’s probably worth $10K by now.
