Ding Ding Ding. This right here. If I am getting a brand new WRX it means trading my daily Prius in as well as my Miata to combine daily duties with fun as well as to be able to afford it. BUT because I’m also in that age bracket with a family it also has to be automatic so my wife can drive it. So WRX is not

I don’t know who is in charge of the new website design but they need to be sacked. I saw this article on the front page when it came out. Didn’t have time to read it. Fast forward 2 days later and I want to read it. It’s nowhere in the sections of pertinent info on the front page, searching WRX on the site

FYI.  As a fellow Prius owner with the same generation Prius.  These generations have an issue with 2010 to 2012ish cars where their EGR’s systems become clogged with carbon, eventually clogging completely. The pressure build up usually vents through the head gasket.  If you don’t know if the previous owner did an EGR

Suck it dick cheez. Hope you enjoyed the loss.

I weirdly thought about this the other day, and my hunch is that outside of LA (and Cali in general) a lot of the country gets a mix of either not that great of roads to drive (flat,no curves etc) and/or roads that get salt in winter.

I will always have a soft spot for the r129. My dad put himself through school by buying and fixing repoed cars in the 70s and early 80s. He still kept up with it when I was a kid with the occasional project. He is the reason I got into cars. He always wanted a Mercedes sl and I will never forget the day he bought

I knew without a doubt it was going to be credit acceptance or Santander. I do insurance claims and every single car I’ve had that has totaled with them as the lender has been super underwater. Like crazy amounts. I had a lady who financed a brand new 2016 base Elantra and she owed 35k on it. I was convinced she

I handle more the liability side and coverage side then dealing directly with car damages. But for the most part, that’s really not something we can deny.

Insurance adjuster here. I get a surprising number of claims monthly involving this exact scenario where the ball joint fails mid turn and they go careening into someone

I feel like a majority of Harley’s problems in selling to millenials is due to their absolutely horrendous dealers. I fall into the millennial demographic and strongly considered a Sportster. I liked the look, I liked the way it rode and that the combination of sounds, feel etc combined into something I felt like that

Hey, you seem* pretty versed in this and I have another question about this. Lets say book says 40 hours for a job, job takes 45 actually, and then the dealer charges you 45, is the dealer also able to get away with charging the customer on the 45 but only paying the mechanic 40?

That 2013 mx5 club is so cheap! I had no idea prices had gotten this low. And it’s down the street from my office. Might have to make a lunch test drive......

This is not that shocking for a repo job. A lot of them don’t give a shit since their job is to just get the car some place. Then the creditor files a claim on any insurance they can find for the owner. I have seen some gnarly ass claims like this come through.

I feel like a lot of their losses on this can be related to the way a lot of drivers using a personal insurance policy as coverage. The amount of totaled uber cars that were leased through them and then denied that I have seen is staggering

Thank god I’m not the only person that immediately thought of Ricky

yea I know that now. My replies keep getting greyed out on it. First post was on my phone and couldn’t read the speedo since it was to small. My quick assumption was that the vehicles to the right were all traveling the speed limit.

Should have clarified, couldn’t see the speedo on my phone. If he was actually speeding and the video showed it then we would probably have to place partial fault. But that tends to be more in situations where it’s excess speeding, like 60 in a 35 or if he was blasting at like 85 to 90 in a 65.

Insurance adjuster here. In Florida we would find the car st fault since they’re changing lanes. They have the greater legal burden to void an accident. Now if this guy gave me the video then, yea I would have to place some partial fault on him since there is clear evidence to show he was speeding, and if he wasn’t he

Since I have started working in the automotive insurance industry over this past year, It has amazed me how fast and easily modern cars can be totaled. I feel like prices for parts and repairs to modern cars have ballooned since the 90's and into the 2000's with the advancement of vehicle design, technology etc.

I’m curious if Toyota could possibly ever put in the 2 liter turb engine that Lexus now has in the is.......
