That won’t last. I just think they’re trying to be nice to their characters after putting them all through hell and making them horrible people since Infinity happened.

You have to remember, while Peter is/was a card-carrying member of the Avengers, he does the majority of his work solo. He pretty much gets called in any time there’s a plethora of goons (like AIM or Hydra) or an “everyone’s going to die” kind of scenario.

Essentially because some character flaws are hand waved and some aren’t. Same thing with Cap. Anyone that old should be an angry, sexist, jingoistic bastard - but that’s poor representation of the character’s supposed values. So it’s toned down.
